Startup Mixer

Hackathon
Probably the coolest of our events, this is held every Spring in the Wozniak Lounge. Co-hosted by the Computer Science Undergraduate Association, it is a 24-hour hacking celebration where teams of 4 techies hack without breaks or food (the last part was a joke…but they really don’t move).
The 2009 event will be held Friday, February 13th at 6:00PM to Saturday, February 14th at 2:00PM in the Wozniak Lounge at Soda Hall. There will be more of an entrepreneurship focus this year than last, with judges from venture capital firm Y-Combinator and Facebook. Also expect numerous invited guests from Berkeley startups and entrepreneurs.
Prizes include 4 Acer Aspire Ones, 4 22″ LCD Monitors, and 4 160GB Hard drives. There will also be special surprise prizes from Amazon.
Sponsors include:
Palantir Technologies
Lockheed Martin
Kinfo
Alsop Louie Partners

Although we are the coolest, there are a number of other entrepreneurship focused organizations that host a few regular events:
